Who it's for: people with an intellectual or developmental disability that is expected to last for life and who need a lot of support in at least three areas of daily life. Families who don't qualify for regular Medicaid may still qualify for waiver services.

How we help: supportive living services such as daily living skills, money management, community outings, communication and behavior support, and health maintenance.

How to apply: call the DHS Developmental Disabilities Services Intake and Referral line at 501-683-5687. Approved applicants are placed on a waitlist and offered a slot by approval date.

ARChoices In-Home Care

ARChoices is an Arkansas Medicaid waiver that helps adults get care at home instead of moving to a nursing home.

Who it's for: adults age 65 and older, and adults age 21 to 64 with a physical disability, who meet the financial limits and need a nursing-home level of care.

How we help: hands-on help with daily tasks and personal care, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, mobility and light housekeeping.

How to apply: apply online at Access Arkansas or call 855-372-1084.

Arkansas PASSE Program

PASSE plans coordinate Medicaid care for Arkansans, children and adults, with complex behavioral health needs or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Who it's for: Medicaid members who receive CES Waiver services or are on the CES waitlist, live in a private ICF for people with I/DD, or have behavioral health needs beyond counseling and medication management.

How we help: in-home supportive living and personal care, arranged with your PASSE care coordinator.

How quickly can services start?

Once your program has approved services, we can usually begin within 30 days. We'll meet with you for an intake, build your care plan and match you with a caregiver as soon as possible.

Can I choose or change my caregiver?

Yes. We match each client with a caregiver who fits their needs and personality. If it isn't a good fit, just call us and we'll work with you to find someone else.
